Your new responsibilities

  • Evaluate, develop, and pilot novel and innovative technologies and methods in the Pre-Development department of Siemens Infrastructure Building Products
  • Join the Analytics and Innovative Control Applications team to work on analytics solutions related to building automation applications such as heating, ventilation and air conditioning control
  • Generate ideas and methods aimed at creating customer value from building data
  • Tackle challenges such as robustness of methods, ease of engineering, and scalability to large customer groups
  • Implement methods for smart maintenance and operation of buildings in pilot projects using both simulated and real-world data
  • Design, develop and evaluate different methods for fault detection and diagnostics for buildings
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the successful implementation and evaluation of developed methods
  • Contribute to the advancement of building automation technologies by staying updated on industry trends and emerging technologies
  • Document and communicate findings, methodologies, and results effectively within the team and to relevant collaborators

Your skills and experience

  • A Master's degree in computer science or engineering
  • Strong interest in the building automation domain: analytics, optimization, modeling and control
  • Proven knowledge of mathematical methods for analytics and optimization
  • Experience with the programming languages Python and Matlab/Simulink, possibly also Go, C++ and cloud computing technologies
  • Proactive, motivated and committed person that likes to cooperate with other teams in a global setup and is willing to keep up with and use the latest level of technology
  • Knowledge in semantic web technologies like web of things are considered as a plus
  • Written and spoken English on a proficient level, sound German skills are beneficial
