The Lenovo Solutions Development team is seeking a highly motivated Linux engineer that will be a member of a global team integrating Linux with our x86 servers for best performance.

In this role, you will:

Install, configure, and operate Linux OS using Yocto on our x86 server for the Server Division.

Integrate new features into the operating system.

Ensure OS software components are up-to-date with the latest security patches, utilizing BlackDuck for vulnerability management.

Oversee the Open Source Compliance process for Linux deliverables using FOSSA.

Contribute to the continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) system, utilizing Jira for bug tracking and GitLab as the code repository

Requirements:

Currently enrolled in the final year of a BS or pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science.

Or 1-4 years of working experience

Proficient in Python or Bash scripting.

Strong knowledge of Linux usage and familiarity with a package manager.

Experience with GitLab is a plus.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are essential.
