PhD student in AI/ML for biomedicine
The newly established AI/ML in Biomedicine group led by Prof. Marianna Rapsomaniki at the Biomedical Data Science Center at the Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) and the University of Lausanne (UNIL) is looking for highly motivated PhD students who will work on projects in AI/ML applied to oncology.
Contexte
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of five Swiss university hospitals. Through its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and the EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in the areas of medical care, medical research and training.
The mission of the AI/ML for Biomedicine group is to develop new AI/ML approaches to elucidate cancer mechanisms across scales using heterogeneous single-cell data, with or without spatial resolution. Topics of special interest include modeling 3D genome regulation within a cell, cellular interactions within the tumor microenvironment, and effects of drug perturbations at a patient level. We are part of the Biomedical Data Science Center (BDSC), a service, education and translational research platform joint between the Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) and the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne (UNIL). Through its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the UNIL and the EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in the areas of medical care, medical research and training.
