To support our EHS team, we are looking for our offices in Yverdon-les-Bains, Switzerland for an:

EHS Engineer (60%-100%)

Purpose

Supervise all EHS activities to ensure that all parts of the business receive trusted guidance and support in assessing Health, Safety, and Environment needs, risk and opportunities.

 

Role & Responsibilities

  • Assist in defining the company's overall occupational health and safety policy to set objectives that are implemented at all levels of the company
  • Support the development of occupational health and safety and environmental policies and programs
  • Audit all OHS and E processes
  • Carry out OHS & E training for employees and managers
  • Conduct risk analysis and promote improvement measures
  • Review existing policies and procedures and update them in accordance with legislation
  • Assist in the implementation of validations and start-up of equipment and installations (Machine standards)
  • Inspect premises, work station and activities to identify problems or non-conformities on the field
  • Stop any unsafe, unhealthy or non-compliant acts or processes
  • Record and investigate incidents and accidents to determine causes and action plan
  • Advise on various OHS & E topics employees and managers

Skills & Experience

  • Diploma of safety engineer CFST or federal diploma of STPS specialist
  • Min 3 years experience as a EHS engineer in an industrial company
  • Knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO management systems
  • Knowledge of Swiss legislation (OSHA, environment) and related procedures
  • Knowledge of electrical risk and Ergonomics
  • Knowledge of security rules and access management a plus
  • Knowledge of European regulation (REACH, ROHS, …) a plus
  • Certification for transport of dangerous goods a plus

English fluent spoken and writing (C1)
