Fundraising Lead

We are seeking a Fundraising Lead to join our Operations Group, and support in the development and execution of strategies to manage highly strategic partnerships and raise funding for our mission. Crowther Lab is a unique research group creating the scientific foundation for the protection and restoration of nature.  The Operations Group is focused on building the bridge between science and action; helping to shape our scientific strategy and improve societies efforts to protect biodiversity. In 2020 we founded Restor, an online platform to enable, expand and accelerate an ecologically responsible restoration movement facilitating over 200,000 project sites around the world. Crowther Lab is a scientific advisor to the World Economic Forum’s 1t.org, the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration and Restor.

Project background

The loss of global biodiversity remains one of the most difficult challenges of our time. To help tackle this global challenge, our research aims to explore the fundamental forces shaping global biodiversity, and try to facilitate the millions of local communities, farmers and indigenous populations who are protecting nature across the planet. As such, our group includes a highly diverse range of scientific, technical and policy experts. But the scope and impact of this research is ultimately determined by the availability of funding available to support the collective efforts. To facilitate this work, we are seeking a highly-motivated, and creative expert to build partnerships with funding organizations and develop sustainable funding strategies that support our work and its applications in the long-term.
