Plastics Expert as Specialist for Polymer Analytics and Microscopy (m/f/d)

The Microscopy and Analytics Laboratory is part of the Technology Center – a global hub for polymer expertise, testing, and approvals. With in-house labs and a pilot plant, we support innovation and production by delivering analytical solutions in close collaboration with internal partners.
Your tasks:
- Plan and perform evaluations of polymer materials and plastic components
- Identify and select the right test or analytical method in consultation with internal customers
- Prepare samples, conduct tests (e.g., infrared spectroscopy/microscopy, macro-/microscopy), and analyze data
- Document findings in clear reports and discuss results with internal stakeholders
- Coordinate external laboratory services for specialized tests not available in-house
- Actively contribute to cross-functional projects with R&D, production plants, the Technology Center, and Claim Management
Your profile:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in polymer science, polymer chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related field with a focus on analytics
- Enjoyment of hands-on lab work and problem solving
- Experience in thermal and mechanical testing is an advantage
- Independent, reliable, and solution-oriented working style
- Proficiency in MS Office and common IT tools
- Strong communication skills in German and English
