HR Generalist
Role Overview
We are seeking a hands-on HR Generalist to join swissQuant. This role requires a true all-rounder who can independently oversee HR Administration while also supporting the wider Group function and broader business operations, including contract management, legal coordination, and internal communications.
HR Responsibilities
- Own the full HR lifecycle, including onboarding, contract changes, and offboarding
- Act as a trusted point of contact for employees and managers on HR topics
- Support recruitment coordination and onboarding processes
- Manage HR administration, employee records, absences with BambooHR
- Payroll coordination with external provider (incl. preparation and validation of inputs)
- Draft and manage employment contracts, amendments, and HR documentation in line with Swiss labor law
- Coordinate HR-related legal matters with external counsel; ensure compliance with Swiss regulations
- Handle insurance and pension coordination
- Support internal HR communication, policies, and organizational updates
- Work with and manage Employer of Record (EOR) for international employment setups
- Supporting audit preparation activities, including ISO audits.
- Identify and implement improvements to HR processes and tools
Additional Responsibilities
- Review and coordinate company-wide internal communications to ensure consistency and clarity
- Support the Sales team with contract preparation, ensuring accurate formatting, smooth signature execution, and proper documentation/storage
- Monitor and manage the general administrative inbox on a regular basis
- Coordinate and schedule monthly company briefing meetings
- Provide support to Finance on audits, expense-related queries, and ad hoc administrative matters
- Act as the primary internal point of contact for legal-related queries, exercising sound judgment in identifying matters that require escalation to external legal counsel
Requirements
- 5 + years’ experience in a generalist HR role in Switzerland
- HR-Fachfrau / HR-Fachmann mit eidg. Fachausweis or equivalent Swiss-recognized HR certification
- Proven hands-on ownership of HR administration
- Solid knowledge of Swiss labor law and HR operations
- Comfortable operating as a standalone HR function
- Experience in startups, or fast-paced environments preferred
- Fluent German and English required, additional languages a plus.
Nice to haves:
- Training or practical experience in mediation / conflict resolution
- Experience handling employee relations and sensitive cases
- Experience working with EOR structures
- Experience with HRIS systems (e.g. BambooHR)
