GDP Incident & Deviation Coordinator
Job description:
As the GDP Incident & Deviation Coordinator, you will act as the key Quality contact for GDP-related incidents, deviations, returns, temperature excursions and CAPAs. Working closely with internal stakeholders and external logistics partners (3PLs), you will ensure timely investigation, root cause analysis and resolution of quality events while maintaining compliance with GDP and company quality standards.

- Location: Basel, Switzerland
- Contract: Until 31.12.2026 with possible extension
- Workload: 100% (40 hours/week)

Requirements:
- Act as the Single Point of Contact for GDP deviations, returns, temperature excursions and CAPAs.
- Initiate, manage and track deviation records within the Veeva QMS system.
- Coordinate investigations with internal teams and external 3PL partners.
- Lead and facilitate Root Cause Analysis (RCA) activities and investigation meetings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
- Ensure timely closure of deviations and support customer-related quality queries.
- Maintain accurate records of deviations and temperature excursions in SharePoint.
- Participate in weekly Quality and Distribution meetings as well as regular business reviews with logistics partners.
Competences:
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Quality or a related field.
- 5–7 years of experience within the pharmaceutical industry, ideally in GDP, Quality Assurance or Distribution Quality.
- Experience managing deviations, investigations and CAPAs within a regulated GMP/GDP environment.
- Strong knowledge of Veeva QMS, SAP and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
- Experience working cross-functionally with Quality, Operations and third-party logistics providers (3PLs).
- Excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent English; additional languages are considered an advantage.
