We are looking for a mechanical engineer (m/f/d) to support our high-speed turbocharger product development team in Baden, Switzerland.
In this role, you will take engineering responsibility for the development and lifecycle support of high-speed turbochargers. You will provide technical support to supply, sales, and service teams while working closely with central R&D.
You will also contribute to cross-divisional initiatives and lead work packages and projects for product development, including planning and responsibility for technology, costs, and deadlines.
Your responsibilities

Execute engineering calculations such as tolerance stack-ups (including statistics) for static and rotating turbocharger parts and assemblies

Initiate, supervise and analyze FEM/CFD simulations as well as tests in internal and external laboratories, including field tests on customer sites and including metallurgical lab investigations.

Perform technical root cause analysis for product reliability incidents in the field and develop countermeasures.

Further development of the existing product range involving sales, service and central R&D.

Drive continuous process improvement, ensure appropriate documentation, and actively maintain knowledge management

Provide technical support to supply chain, sales, and service teams, and prepare and update instructions and product manuals

Manage product development / R&D projects, including planning and responsibility for technology, costs, and deadlines, while coordinating cross-divisional collaboration to achieve project goals
Your background

University degree in Mechanical Engineering, preferably a Master degree (or similar), combined with at least of 2 years of professional experience in Mechanical Engineering in a relevant business area

Profound knowledge of state-of-the-art development methods

Strong engineering, project management and communication skills

Willingness to work in a team-oriented, dynamic working environment

Independent, self-organized and dedicated approach to work

Analytical skills, ability to understand complex situations and lateral thinking to generate innovative solutions

Fluency in English and German required
