Über den Job
Siemens Digital Industries Software is a leading provider of solutions for the design, simulation, and manufacture of products across many different industries. Formula 1 cars, skyscrapers, ships, space exploration vehicles, and many of the objects we see in our daily lives are being conceived and manufactured using our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software.
The Mission: End-to-End Ownership of Customer Self-Service
We are looking for a solution-driven Full-Stack UI/UX & AI Solutions Engineer to join our Active Integration team in Pune. Your mission is to build and deploy Self-Service UI tools that empower customers to manage their cloud environments independently.
This is a true full-stack role where you will own the entire lifecycle of these tools. You will design intuitive interfaces using the Siemens Web Framework (SWF), implement robust server-side logic using Node.js, and manage containerized deployments in the cloud. By bridging the gap between the user and the infrastructure, you will directly reduce the operational burden on our cloud teams through high-quality automation and AI.
Key Responsibilities
1. Full-Stack & Cloud-Native Implementation
- End-to-End Development: Implement the full stack of self-service solutions, ensuring seamless integration between the frontend, Node.js backend, and cloud infrastructure.
- Node.js Server-Side Logic: Develop and maintain scalable server-side applications and microservices using Node.js as the primary runtime environment.
- Containerization: Design and manage Docker containers and Kubernetes deployments to ensure self-service tools are scalable, resilient, and cloud native.
2. Self-Service UI & UX Excellence
- Customer Empowerment: Design and build self-service portals that allow customers to access their specific cloud information and troubleshoot issues independently.
- SWF & UX Standards: Ensure all developments utilize the Siemens Web Framework (SWF) and strictly follow Siemens UX Guidelines for a consistent Xcelerator experience.
- Frontend Mastery: Build responsive, accessible layouts using HTML5, CSS3, and React or Vue, ensuring full compatibility with modern browser capabilities.
3. AI Implementation & Innovation
- AI-Driven Support: Integrate Generative AI (LLMs, RAG) to create "Knowledge Assistants" that provide customers with real-time, automated technical assistance within the self-service portal.
- Engineering Productivity: Leverage AI-powered development tools to accelerate coding, refactoring, and documentation across the full stack.
4. API & Interface Management
- RESTful Services: Implement robust RESTful Web Services based on the Node.js framework.
- Heterogeneous Interfaces: Design and maintain communication interfaces using REST, SOAP, and ODATA to ensure data flow across diverse enterprise environments.
5. Quality Engineering & Automated Testing
- TDD/BDD Mindset: Apply Test-Driven (TDD) or Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD) methods to ensure software reliability.
- Robust Testing: Develop and maintain comprehensive test suites using frameworks such as Siemens Mars Framework, Jasmine, Karma, Selenium, Mockito, or JUnit.
Required Qualifications & Technical Skills
Technical Competencies
· Full-Stack Development: 2–5 years of experience with React/Vue and Node.js as a server-side runtime.
· Cloud & Containers: Practical know-how in Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native architecture principles.
· Frameworks: Experience with the Siemens Web Framework (SWF) and modern web technologies (HTML/CSS/Accessibility).
· Testing & Interfaces: Excellent understanding of automated testing and familiarity with REST, SOAP, and ODATA.
· Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving capabilities in complex, heterogeneous environments.
Soft Skills & Collaboration
· International Teamwork: You enjoy working in a collaborative, international team environment and communicate effectively in English.
· Solution-Driven Mindset: You are passionate about finding the best solution for the end-user and enjoy building tools that simplify complex processes.
· Adaptability: Ability to quickly get familiar with new software architecture environments and emerging cloud technologies.
