About this job:

We are looking for a senior actuary to join our growing Global Life Financial Solutions team. This team is responsible for all financial solutions business globally for Life and Health. T

The role provides the opportunity for exposure to a wide variety of products and innovative reinsurance solutions in diverse markets and you will be expected to make a significant contribution to the development of our Global Life Financial Solutions team, and the wider enhancement of PartnerRe’s Life & Health propositions.

Your mission is to develop and price financial solutions transactions and grow PartnerRe’s revenue across the team’s three regions: Europe, North America and APAC.

In more detail your responsibilities will include:

• Develop, structure and market appropriate reinsurance solutions allowing for accounting, regulatory and economic risk-transfer aspects
• Technical development of pricing tools to analyse risk and profitability of life reinsurance solutions.
• Contribute to the deal execution involving responding to RFPs, negotiating terms with clients and brokers, and prepare internal approval memos
• Prepare and make internal and external presentations on life reinsurance topics as required

Qualifications

About you:

You are a technically excellent individual with an ability to demonstrate commercial sense. Creativity, curiosity, and pragmatism are desirable attitudes.

You enjoy collaborating with your colleagues as well as working on your own. Your preference is to be part of an international and multicultural environment, handling diverse tasks, yet always ready to support the team effort and meet the business needs.

Moreover, you have the following background, skills and mindset:

• Qualified life actuary with at least 8 years of relevant financial services industry experience
• Strong actuarial background in pricing life and health insurance / reinsurance and familiar in accounting standards (e.g., USGAAP, IFRS17).
• Good knowledge of Solvency 2 is essential including awareness of some of the issues faced by insurers.
• Comfortable in a client-facing capacity as well as working in a dynamic and fast paced environment
• Great communication, strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience in actuarial pricing and structure bespoke reinsurance agreements will be ideal.
• Fluent English speaker. Other European languages desirable.
• Organised and self motivated to drive forward ongoing solution development
