Project Engineer/ Laboratory Technician - Paints & Coatings 100%

• ​Fully participate in HSE Omya Program and comply with all safety, health and environmental regulations.


• Prepare, schedule, execute and monitor Paints and Coatings projects to meet the proper efficiency, time, scope, budget, quality, and stakeholder satisfaction.


• Execute applicable Omya policies, guidelines, processes, methodologies, working methods and systems.


• Deliver clear, concise, timely, written reports with results and diagnosis.


• Contribute in the identification, development, implementation, integration, and ongoing support of any new technical services and applications.


• Generate ideas that improve the safety, efficiency and overall effectiveness of the Paints and Coatings lab and its team.


• Work with other Construction team members as required, achieving functional objectives and deadlines.


• Participate in 5S (Start / End of work – housekeeping).
  
  
  
  • ​Bachelor's degree in science or engineering, or comparable degree of education in paint & coatings
  
  
  • Solid experience in Paints & Coatings.
  
  
  • With an interest in automation. Knowledge in Design of Experiments is beneficial.
  
  
  • Creative problem solving skills, attention to detail and quality consistency.
  
  
  • Good knowledge in word, powerpoint and excel.
  
  
  • Result-driven mindset with excellent stakeholder communication.
    
  
  
  • Team player with good interpersonal skills.
  
  
  • Fluent written and spoken English & German.
