Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Event and Public Relations Manager to foster the exchange amongst our members, create inspiring events and coordinate government agency relations and communication of our position. This pivotal role requires exceptional organizational skills, an understanding of legal framework of our industry and a flair for creativity to manage communications across various channels and orchestrate events and communication with the committee, the members and to external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Event Management: Plan, coordinate, and host various events, such as regular lunches, webinars, workshops, seminars, managing logistics, invitations, and social media outreach.
- Strategic Communications: Develop and implement comprehensive PR strategies and campaigns to enhance the STEPS visibility and reputation within the private client legal and financial services community and towards government agencies.
- Political Agenda Management: Coordinate political communication and serve as a coordinator of the political agenda points.
- Collaboration: Work closely with committee members and the administrative office colleague, to ensure cohesive and integrated collaboration on all points.
- Budget Management: Manage the events budget, ensuring cost-effective execution of initiatives.
- Committee meetings: Support organization, including documentation and minutes recording.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: Experience in public relations, communications, or event management.
- Organization: Superior organizational, time management, and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a complex environment.
- Flexibility: Willingness to also work on evening events and over-proportionally during event seasons (spring/autumn) and compensating during holiday seasons (summer/Christmas).
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German, with a keen attention to detail.
- Interpersonal Skills: A natural predisposition for building relationships and fostering teamwork with diverse stakeholders.
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration or a related field or similar qualifying education.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with social media platforms, content management systems, and modern Microsoft office software.
Preferred Qualifications (Optional)
- A background or familiarity with the legal, trust, or financial services industry in Switzerland.
- Experience with graphic design and video production software.
- French communication skills.
