What you will do
- Resolve Accounting Issues: Provide expert advice on accounting policy interpretation to Finance Senior Management
- Ensure Compliance: Prepare detailed accounting policy memos (e.g., IFRS, Swiss Code of Obligations) to ensure adherence to both internal Zurich Group requirements and external regulations
- Lead Projects: Take charge of and participate in various projects aimed at implementing changes and improvements in accounting and reporting processes
- Support Decision Making: Deliver top-notch service to internal stakeholders to address issues and facilitate informed decisions
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with Finance teams and other stakeholders to ensure proper accounting treatment in all business areas
What you bring
- University degree in Finance (Accounting and Reporting) or a similar field, with a Swiss CPA being essential
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in accounting and reporting, preferably with an audit or insurance company (especially Life insurance); candidates from a Big 4 firm are highly preferred
- Profound understanding of financial statement requirements (IFRS and local statutory)
- Proven ability to communicate effectively at the Senior Management level and influence internal stakeholders
- Strong negotiation skills, project management experience, and a willingness to take ownership
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a team-oriented and flexible personality
- Fluent written and verbal skills in both German and English
- Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint); knowledge of Power BI and SQL is an advantage
