Repair Engineers are a critical component of the VAT team and will be instrumental in driving the after sales service business.
Job Description
MAIN ROLE AND ACTIVITIES
- Provides in-house advanced level technical support to analyze, troubleshoot and repair VAT products
- Provide highly visible customer support through in-house repairs
- Operate and maintain operational quality of system equipment
- Serves as a customer contact for technical matters for the project at hand
- Serves as a liaison with the Product Groups about product challenges in the field providing detailed feedback for troubleshooting, service, repair, and product improvements
- While working in-house you will monitor and maintain the service workflows ensuring customer turn times
- Write concise, clear failure reports for distribution to the customer.
- Leverage VAT ERP system and tools to select parts necessary for repair and order from the spares depot
- Complete the repair and test the product to factory specifications
- Creates and ensures S tandard R epair P rocedure (SRP)
- Provide feedback to the factory regarding VAT and Competitors products
- Must be available to work overtime including weekend and weekdays as required
KEY EXPERIENCES - What experiences bring success to this position?
- 5 years relevant work experience
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to lift 50 pounds with frequent lift/ carry of 25 pounds and to stand on your feet for extended periods throughout the workday
- Strong mechanical assembly, analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
- Understanding of Basic Electronics
- Ability to function independently and multi-task
- Computer skills - proficient with Microsoft Outlook and Office applications
