WinGD is looking for a

Production Supervisor, HHI Site Office, Operations Korea

Position description & Main responsibilities

• Production supervision and support at engine builder during engine assembly, identification of problems and solutions finding together with engine builders’ production, QA and assembly specialists.
• Attendance of planned and/or random quality inspections following WinGD documentation and processes at engine builder and suppliers, recognition and reporting of quality deficiencies.
• Supporting of new technologies introduction in collaboration with Production Support team members.
• Maintenance and follow-up of relevant production related information in WinGD internal database (e.g. Shoptest/Delivery date with details related to manufacturing, assembly, component executions and problems encountered during each project, etc.).
• Reporting and feedback to headquarter in Switzerland to support development engineers and Customer Support teams.
• Relationship management with engine builder, addressing quality and manufacturing issues in an objective and open way without compromising WinGD quality standards.
• Exchange of experience with WinGD headquarter and Production Support team members locally and globally.
• Knowledge gathering of relevant information on engines (in general), engine assembly, quality and manufacturing technologies in particular through self-study and knowledge transfer/experience exchange with others.

Requirements:

• Education & Experience: Mechanical engineering or Marine engineering with sound experience in engine manufacturing, service and/or design (BSc)

Desired Skills:

• Fluent in English / Korean
• Experience and know how in manufacturing technology
• Technical product knowledge of 2-stroke engines desired
• Experience in welding and machining technology.
• Component inspection supervision experience.
• Quality Management system understanding/experience.
• Audit experience / auditor training of advantage.
• IT general and structural skills.
• Communication skills and capable to work in different environment.
• Self-driven attitude to tackle problems and to initiate improvements.
