We are a fast growing biotech company seeking a highly motivated Paralegal (100%) to join our biotech companySwiss Rockets AG and its subsidiaries. The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in the field of corporate and life sciences law. The Paralegal will be responsible for providing legal support to the legal department.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring corporate housekeeping and compliance with internal group corporate governance guidelines at Swiss Rockets AG and its subsidiaries
- Support Legal Counsel & Head of Corporate Compliance in corporate law matters requiring notarization (drafting documents for incorporations, capital increases, asset transfers etc.), communication with notary and/or commercial register for the purpose of preliminary examination and registration of transactions and clarification of legal issues, communication with notary for the purpose of organizing and holding notarizations etc.
- Provide support to Legal Counsels in drafting and reviewing contracts, correspondence and other documents
- Conduct legal research on a variety of issues related to the group’s business (corporate, finance, IP, licensing, R&D, data protection, employment law etc.)
- Assist in developing and implementing legal compliance programs
- Management of documents and files (hardcopy and digital)
- Carrying out general administrative and organisational tasks to support the legal department, such as management of mail and couriers, expenses, organisation of meetings, support on PowerPoint presentations and other documents, maintenance of external counsel list, management of general queries, deadline control etc.
Requirements:
- A completed degree as paralegal or similar degree
- Minimum of two years of professional experience in a similar function, preferably in a law firm or a legal department in Switzerland
- Fluent in German and English (e.g. Certificate of Proficiency)
- Excellent research, analytical, and drafting skills
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask
- Very good computer skills (including Word / Excel / PowerPoint / Teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work under pressure or time constraints
