Product Owner Digital Field Connectivity & HMI (m/f/d)

In this strategically important role as Product Owner Digital Field Connectivity & HMI, you will define and implement appropriate connectivity standards for specific applications and topologies. You will ensure the coordination and implementation of industrial connectivity standards for field devices. You will also select suitable technologies for IIoT applications and optimized user experiences. As an active member of organizations such as the PI Foundation, ODVA, or OPC Foundation, you will incorporate GF-specific requirements into new standards. Ideally, you are familiar with system topologies, particularly in water treatment or wet process systems. Additionally, you oversee the design and standardization of HMIs, including field displays and mobile apps.

Your tasks:

• Define and drive our connectivity strategy across sensor systems, valve actuators, and accessories, ensuring seamless integration and future-ready solutions
• Set the standards – harmonize and implement cutting-edge protocols and physical standards that unify and elevate our product range
• Stay ahead of the curve – monitor emerging trends in connectivity, from physical interfaces to evolving communication protocols, and turn insights into action
• Create impactful materials – develop technical documentation, product guides, training resources, and sales tools that empower our global teams and customers
• Be a voice in the industry – represent GF Piping Systems in standardization bodies and working groups to influence the development of tomorrow’s standards
• Collaborate with R&D – provide clear direction and specifications to ensure our new products are built with future-proof connectivity in mind
• Enhance user experiences – translate technical requirements into epics and user stories that guide intuitive mobile apps and device interfaces

Your profile:

• A bachelor's-/master’s degree in electronics, physics, or an apprenticeship as a mechatronic engineer/automation technician, and further training
• At least 5 years of experience as a product manager for process measuring technologies such as flow sensors, liquid analysis sensors
• Pro-active nature – you like to take initiative and ownership
• Good communication and planning skills
• First experience or strong interest in UX Design of mobile apps or display design helps
• Attention to customers and stakeholders, result-oriented, market-driven thinking, teamwork, systemic thinking, and innovation will complete your profile
• English fluent, German at least basic, additional languages are a plus
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time
