Senior Electrical Engineer 80 - 100% (f/m/d)


As new Electrical Engineer, you will join our Global Support Team (A-Team) in the Global Product Group Dry, Traction and Distribution Transformers of HITACHI-Energy. You will be part of a group of key people with specific Dry and Liquid filled Transformers.

As part of our global community including Technology Centers and Research Centers worldwide, you will contribute to support all factories in the GPG DT on different tasks and challenges.  

You will focus on design review, optimization, redaction of technical standards, support on failure analysis and otherwise supporting the different engineering offices around the world.

Your responsibilities

  • Providing feedback and influence the GPG improvement projects (with electrical performance and or standardization content)

  • Support the transfer of technology and knowledge from R&D to engineering department by writing design rules, preparing trainings and collaborating with design tools teams (CDSe/CDSm)

  • Provide technical support to other departments when needed (engineering, product management, marketing and sales etc.)

  • Support the Global Product Group management on benchmark activities and technical requests

  • Act as project manager in the contexts where more entities are involved

  • Act as reference person on technical queries and designs review/optimization

Your background

  • PhD / MSc / Bachelor education in Electrical Engineering field

  • Existing work experience in Electrical Engineering

  • At least 5 years of experience on Dry Transformers design

  • Previous experience on failure analysis

  • Experience on Electromagnetic Simulations with FEM

  • Action and result oriented mindset with proven project management skills

  • Innovation spirit, "out of the box" thinking

  • Excellent communication skills in English and outstanding team spirit

  • Willingness to travel (about 15-20% of time)
