The BESS Manager will be responsible for the technical and commercial strategy to advance TERUSA’s battery storage ambitions.

What You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Engineering, or related discipline required – Master preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in the energy industry including at least 2 years of experience working on energy storage projects
  • Strong knowledge of energy storage fundamentals and wholesale electricity markets, tariffs, market rules
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver on large scale utility energy development projects and work with cross functional teams
  • Solid oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to take initiatives and work well within a team
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to details
  • Ability to quickly work into new tasks and accommodate a dynamic environment

Aktivitäten

  • Support the development and business development teams by providing technical and commercial guidance during origination, PPA negotiations and financial modeling for storage projects.
  • Track and manage project budgets and schedules in accordance with the group’s long-term plans.
  • Coordinate with the Owner’s Engineer and EPC contractor on development deliverables and construction timelines.
  • Support the integration of storage projects with their respective RTO, ISO, and/or utility operator.
  • Be the SME for storage-related questions from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Obtain internal approvals as needed.
  • Maintain and provide to appropriate team members key technical and market information about storage components.
  • Identify and analyze value proposition for front of the meter storage projects, both standalone and co-located with solar across various US markets.
  • Run sizing and valuation analysis to assess optimal battery design and revenue model.
  • Coordinate technical, commercial, and regulatory requirements for RFPs.
  • Support RFP responses and contract negotiations with offtakers as necessary.
  • Work in coordination with the appropriate team members to develop project technical specifications.
  • Support negotiation of procurement contracts with battery suppliers and diligence on energy storage hardware/software vendors.
  • Work in close coordination with the development and transmission teams on permitting and interconnection processes.
  • Coordinate consultants – including but not limited to market and regulatory advisors – and contracts negotiation/execution.
  • Accountability for safety, portfolio development (MW capacities and revenues optimization)
  • Implement TERUSA development strategy in a cost-effective manner
  • Market strategy, planning and execution, following TotalEnergies Solar global strategy work closely with TotalEnergies Renewables headquarters, TotalEnergies US Affiliates, and co-developers to develop profitable opportunities.
