The Global Network Management department is responsible for the management and strategy of Bank Julius Baer’s custodian, cash correspondent and CSD relationships. We have an exciting opportunity to join this pivotal team that has touchpoints across the entire organization and has a significant impact on the success of the firm. In this highly varied role, you will be responsible for the coordination of tasks relating to the smooth running of the network, whilst also collaborating with colleagues across Julius Baer as well as our partners to achieve the Bank’s goals - no two days will be the same. The opening would suit a candidate with ambition to develop a broad, cross-disciplinary expertise and have exposure to a wide range of processes and initiatives. Given the broad, diverse coverage of the department we welcome applicants also without direct Network Management experience. We look forward to hearing from you.
Develop custody market rule expertise and provide guidance to client facing units on local account opening requirements
Coordinate the timely opening and maintenance of account set-ups at 3rd party providers and establish yourself as a trusted, reliable partner for internal stakeholders
Undertake necessary steps with internal and external colleagues to remediate any identified issues to ensure market compliance
Responsible for the timely and accurate processing of diverse agent invoices
Identify and propose improvements to operating procedures that will increase efficiency both within the team and/or broader organization
Support Network Managers with the administration of agent relationships: Due Diligence process, service monitoring and resolution, contractual documentation
Work with various stakeholders in troubleshooting and resolving operational issues
Participation in strategic project work
Contribute to help shape a culture of openness, enthusiasm and curiosity within the team and the firm
First class interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
International outlook and able to build strong relationships with internal and external partners
Independent, reliable individual with a positive personality, can-do mindset and a structured working style
Keen attention to detail and able to identify then lead process improvements
Proactive mindset and willingness to take on responsibility
Knowledge of Custody market rules would be an advantage
Proficiency in German and English (written and spoken) essential, additional languages are a plus
Good MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills essential, an aptitude for technology will be an added advantage
Experience in any of the following areas would be of additional interest: banking operations, compliance, legal, project management, process optimization, data analysis
