About the job:

• Lead the financial controlling function and oversee day-to-day financial operations
• Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements, including the preparation and submission of financial statements and reports
• Develop and implement financial controls, policies, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely reporting
• Monitor and analyze financial data, providing insights and recommendations to senior management
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure financial information is accurate and complete
• Stay updated on industry regulations and standards, ensuring adherence to US GAAP guidelines
• Support internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations
• Identify areas of improvement in financial processes and systems, proposing and implementing solutions
• Provide technical accounting expertise to resolve complex financial issues
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic financial initiatives
• Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

About the candidate:

• 10 to 15 years of experience in the banking sector, with a focus on financial controlling
• Strong technical accounting experience, including knowledge of US GAAP standards
• Familiarity with IFRS standards is a plus
• Proficient in English; German language skills would be advantageous
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented and able to work effectively under pressure
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment
• High level of integrity and ethical standards
