We are looking for a talented person who wants to work as an assistant quality inspector for incoming goods in a dynamic industry in Switzerland. It is a full time permanent role located in Biel.

As an assistant quality inspector, you will have these responsibilities:

  • Perform dimensional and visual inspections of goods received and dispatched
  • Utilize the optical measuring machine, including analyzing and interpreting the results
  • Conduct tests as needed for new developments or handling complaints
  • Operate and calibrate the surface measurement device, including analyzing and interpreting the results
  • Record test outcomes in reports and enter decisions into SAP
  • Address negative inspection outcomes using established methods, including generating supplier complaints
  • Implement the special approval process and participate in supplier evaluations

  • qualifications

    • Completed basic technical or mechanical education
    • Hands-on experience with measurement tools (e.g., calipers, height gauges, internal micrometers)
    • Initial experience in incoming goods inspection or quality control
    • Excellent written and spoken German, with English skills being a plus
    • Keen interest in technical tasks and good manual skills
    • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
    • No allergies to mineral and synthetic cleaning agents, adhesives, and lubricants
    • Minimum B2 level in German is required
