Position Summary

This position is responsible for conducting final product conformity inspections and issues product certification documents namely Statement of Conformity and EASA Form 1. You will support the Production departments in order to coordinate and resolve issues appropriately as required. As Jet Aviation’s Process Control Inspector, you will prepare Part 21G Statement of Conformity for completion projects to support STC certification, use your comprehensive knowledge and experience to advise and support team members with respect to technical queries/issues related to specific manufacturing task queries. You will also be working actively and in good intelligence within the Production Organization Team, Installation Team, Engineering Organization, Supply Chain Management Organization and Quality Department.

Main Responsibilities

  • Be the General Dynamics Lean committee representative for Jet Aviation Basel 
  • Carry out product conformity/Quality and Quality Gate Inspection as per our PMOE
  • Lead Production Non-Conformity Review Board and handle production non-conformity
  • Support Production department during internal and external audits
  • Issue product certification documents namely Statement of Conformity and EASA Form 1
  • Support Supply Chain Management for in-house conformity /quality inspections of subcontracted/contracted production
  • Carry out First Article Inspection at the Supplier’s site
  • Check, Collect and archive production traceability paperwork in accordance with POE requirements
  • Support Production Organization in understanding of processes, updating them and work out best practices handbook
  • Support the Production Organization in continuous improvement actions/ideas and facilitate their implementation
  • Certify conformed parts with Statement of Conformity or EASA Form 1, as appropriate.
  • Collect production traceability paperwork and ready for archiving at the end of projects.
  • Prepare Part 21G Statement of Conformity for completion projects to support STC certification
  • Support Production Organization for conformity matters
  • Support Incoming Inspection for inspection of outsourced manufacturing tasks
  • Perform FAI at subcontractor’s site

Minimum Requirements

  • Technical apprenticeship with appropriate educational qualifications or an University degree from an accredited Technical university or equivalent work experience
  • Good technical experience (Master) or equivalent experience in a Production Organization
  • Regulatory Experience is a must, with emphasis on EASA/FOCA/FAA Part 145, OEMs
  • Strong communication and customer relations skills 
  • Fluency in English required, German and French a plus
  • Knowledge in reading & understanding 3D Models & 2D manufacturing drawing and Assemblies
  • Part 21G CSM authorization Experience with parts manufacturing, inspection & certification in the relevant area
  • Good understanding of EASA Part 21Gand related guidance material, and JBSL’s internal processes
  • A strong working knowledge on processes and products
  • Experience in a similar aspect of aviation business
  • Familiar with aviation authorities (Procedures and processes)
  • Knowledge and understanding of aviation documentation (AMM/SRM/IPC)
  • Knowledge and understanding of Jet Aviation’s internal documentation
  • Knowledge how to conform parts versus DOA documents
  • Knowledge how to conform for 16G seats (OEM TSO) conformity under P21G and Part 145
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, as well as with SAP, SmarTeam, Catia V5, Elementool
  • Comprehensive understanding with Part 145, P21J and Part 21G regulations
