We are looking for a Mechatronics Engineer with the following profile to join our team in St. Gallen.

Your responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements and specifications
  • Design and develop mechatronics components, sub-assemblies and systems for products considering the given requirements
  • Develop and maintain the control of a fully automated system to operate Meteodrones even in remote areas
  • Prototype, test, and iterate designs to achieve desired functionality, performance and quality
  • Collaborate with manufacturing partners and suppliers to ensure efficient production processes
  • Support the production in the commissioning of systems and ensure the quality and reliability of the product
  • Carry out installation and maintenance work on the field
  • Stay update on industry trends and advancements in the applied technologies

Your qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechatronics Engineering or a related field
  • Proficient in programming microcontrollers, PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), and other control devices to manage and regulate the behavior of the mechanical and electronic components in the system
  • Basic knowledge in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) and simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink)
  • Familiar with electronic components commonly used in mechatronic systems, such as sensors, actuators, microcontrollers, and integrated circuits.
  • Experience with hands-on prototyping and building up test stands to verify the developed systems and identify improvement potential
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and present technical information clearly and persuasively
