Competitive Intelligence Analyst

We are currently seeking a professional to deliver impactful Competitive Intelligence insights.

In this role, you will have a finger on the pulse of the travel industry. By crafting rich and highly detailed Competitive Intelligence insights and performance trends, you will find opportunities to grow and strengthen Expedia Group around the world. You will drive critical business assessments to be shared with the executive team, and work with internal and external sources of data to deliver meaningful insights across our dynamic organization.

What you’ll do:

• Develop an in-depth knowledge of relevant data sources.
• Build meaningful metrics by identifying relevant data, combining datasets appropriately and writing corresponding SQL queries
• Run analyses and generate Competitive Intelligence insights in a structured, analytical way to clearly communicate actionable findings
• Develop high-quality reporting focused on competitiveness
• Drive inspiring research and analysis of market trends, competitors’ behavior, together with market share trends and underlying drivers
• Effectively communicate insights and recommendations to business leaders to influence executive decisions
• Manage and nurture relationships with key internal partners across the company

Who you are:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a numerical field (e.g., Business, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics), or other equivalent professional experience in an analytical role.
• Excellent quantitative, analytical and critical thinking skills
• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with SQL (or another coding language) is desirable.
• Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) is desirable
• Ability to convert raw data into impactful reports and insights
• Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced and fluid environment
• Excellent communicator with the ability to effectively break down complex information into understandable insights
• Business-oriented individual eager to learn about Expedia’s business and the industry
• High level of intellectual curiosity, proactive behavior and desire to innovate
• Team player & Inclusive - Build a climate of inclusion to bring a diverse set of perspectives to the team
• Professional fluency in English with strong written and oral communication skills
