We are looking for an IT Specialist - Datacenter in our Naples office, the major service delivery center in the Group.

The position offers the option of smart working to ensure you have the best work-life balance possible.

The position involves travelling (10 – 15%) to the corporate datacenters and a possible relocation to Geneva by early 2026.

In a very dynamic and growing IT dept, the Datacenter Specialist reports to the IT Infrastructure Delivery Lead & IT Senior Platforms Manager and will be responsible to design, implement and manage data center infrastructure with a key focus on availability, reliability and performance of servers, storage, and backup infrastructure.

  • Set strategies & help the unit in adopting the right datacenter solution(s);
  • Design and implement data center infrastructure components like servers, storage, disk, and tape libraries;
  • Manage life cycle of datacenter components: (introduce, deploy, maintain, and retire it);
  • Setup & configure datacenter infrastructure for high availability, reliability, and performance;
  • Manage and optimize storage solutions;
  • Implement backup and recovery strategies for data protection;
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the datacenter facility with the provider;
  • Organize and manage server racks and cabling to optimize airflow and accessibility;
  • Establish alerting systems for proactive problem identification;
  • Analyze resource utilization and plan for future capacity needs;
  • Define key performance indicators for datacenter components;
  • Collaborate with vendors for hardware and software procurement;
  • Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for configurations and procedures for all datacenter components.
  • Fluent in English, oral and written. Knowledge of French is an advantage;
  • Master's or Bachelor’s degree in Computer science, engineering or equivalent;
  • Must have at least 3+ years of experience as a Datacenter specialist;
  • Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences and to deliver with stretched deadlines.

Hands-On experience and very good knowledge working with below products or their equivalents:

  • VMWare virtualization platform (vSphere, NSX, vSAN, vRealize);
  • HPE Synergy 480 Gen10 Plus compute;
  • Storage solutions PureStorage, HPE Alletra & EMC UNITY.;
  • Backup disk library based on Cisco Hyperscale S3260;
  • IBM Tape library TS4300.-Backup & Recovery product CommVault;
  • Knowledge of IBM Power8 & Power9 is a plus;
  • Knowledge of Oracle Exadata X8 & X6 is a plus;
  • Knowledge of automation using Ansible is a plus.
