Job Purpose/ Role

The Chief Market Office (CMO) area is responsible for managing the inwards reinsurance business that we take on from external insurance companies into Allianz SE Reinsurance

The Client Manager reports to the Head of External Reinsurance Business Europe, Americas, Africa and Middle East for Property&Casualty and is reponsible for actively steering the portfolio in a specified region, maintaining relationships with current ceding companies as well as with international reinsurance brokers, define new target clients and programs and to convince potential clients to place their reinsurance business with Allianz Reinsurance

Key responsibilities

• Build and expand on Property&Casualty external reinsurance client base and profitable reinsurance contracts portfolio
• Manage and develop relationships with ceding companies and reinsurance brokers including physical meetings at the location of Alliant Reinsurance and at the domicile of the business partner
• Place Allianz Reinsurance as prime business partner for Property&Casualty reinsurance solutions including Solvency II capital relief covers and structured reinsurances
• Steer portfolio and meet business plan for reinsurance premiums and results
• Implement regional strategies for external clients and execute accordingly within given framework of governance and guidelines
• Develop and establish new reinsurance product offers (capital relief solutions and structured reinsurances)
• Represent and promote Allianz Reinsurance in international insurance and reinsurance conferences
• Build and maintain a network in the reinsurance industry

Qualifications

• Fluent English
• Knowledge of further languages (French, German etc.) would be of advantage

Experience & Key skills

• Min. 3 years of experience in international treaty reinsurance
• Excellence in reinsurance technique including reinsurance treaty types and knowledge of reinsurance pricing and accounting
• Experience in open market reinsurance practices
• Excellent negotiation skills; ability to convince
• High level of analytical skills including working in a digital environment
• Entrepreneurial mindset
• Managing diverse client relationships (internal stakeholders, external insurers, reinsurance brokers)
• Min. 3 years of working in an international environment
