About the Role
We are currently looking for an experienced Legal Counsel to join our dynamic and diverse global legal team based in our corporate headquarters in Zurich. Leveraging on your broad experience in corporate law matters, you will be responsible for strategic acquisitions, financing transactions, SIX stock exchange compliance as well as other corporate and commercial matters.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Manage the legal workstream of strategic acquisitions, divestments or other M&A transactions
- Ensure compliance with Swiss stock exchange regulations and listing rules as well as the company’s respective policies
- Support the group's Treasury and Finance department on (re-)financing transactions
- Manage the corporate legal affairs of Barry Callebaut's Swiss subsidiaries
- Provide general legal advice to the business and proactively manage and mitigate legal and regulatory risks related to Switzerland and our Global Cocoa & Sourcing organization
- Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial contracts
- Manage and monitor commercial disputes and litigation
- Support the company's global sustainability strategy and initiatives
About You:
- Master Degree in law, Swiss bar exam preferred
- 3-6 years of working experience in an internationally orientated law firm or a multinational company
- Solid experience in corporate law and M&A deals as well as contract drafting
- High degree of professional ethics and integrity
- Sound business judgment and ability to quickly analyze complex legal matters
- Pragmatic and solution-oriented way of working
- Excellent command of English and German
