Hub IT Service Delivery Manager (f/m/d)


This role is accountable for overall HUB IT contribution and value-add to the business, translating business goals into IT landscape and ensuring effective implementation in partnership with Functional/HUB organization.  You support development and ensure communication and compliance of IT strategies/activities to maximize efficiency for HUB/Factory IT and Business processes for technology tools. 

 

As Hub IT Service Delivery Manager, you are responsible for developing, implementing, and executing the IT delivery capability within hub area of responsibility to either plan, build, run or support IT solutions for a region with multiple function site offices and/or factories.

You are providing the interface to the business, consulting with the Hub BU leads, IT stakeholders and application owners within the business on IT-related topics. This position is a stakeholder facing role and requires management of expectations within the business.

As Hub IT Service Delivery Manager, you lead a multi-national team of lower-level managers and/or IT Specialists, providing appropriate and efficient IT Solutions/IT Services to a defined geographic area/ Region, possibly manage hosted IT resources and support global IT projects in respect of regional implementation. Act as an IT Business Partner for the related geographical management or for the appropriate regional management.

 

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead a multi-national team of managers and IT specialists to provide effective IT solutions and services across a defined geographic region. Manage hosted IT resources and support global IT projects as part of regional implementation efforts

  • Implement the global standard IT operating model in collaboration with regional Hubs, ensuring seamless service and project delivery while incorporating business feedback into the IT operating model

  • Oversee the development and management of the organizational entity responsible for delivering IT services, solutions, and activities within the Hub region

  • Ensure end-to-end IT service delivery, including onsite services and IT/OT cybersecurity operations at various sites

  • Aggregate and assess demands for new and improved IT infrastructure services from the business, ensuring overall satisfaction with existing infrastructure services

  • Collaborate with Business Unit IT Management, IT stakeholders, third-party IS suppliers, and regional Hubs to deliver comprehensive IT solutions

  • Align IT service delivery with the business and functional needs of Hitachi Energy, improving efficiency, effectiveness, quality, and operational functionality

  • Prioritize tasks and responsibilities to manage global, regional, and local requirements and escalations, ensuring alignment with global targets and strategy. Maintain alignment with the Vision and Mission of the operational tactics

  • Lead and work with distributed teams and processes, driving them towards high levels of operational excellence

  • Leverage local knowledge of country-specific regulations and escalate issues when necessary to ensure compliance

  • Ensure IT services comply with local laws, licensing requirements, and IT controls. Manage the local IT budget within the country

  • Organize, staff, skill, and direct the area of responsibility with HR support, ensuring the team is properly equipped to meet company and employee needs

  • Guide, motivate, and develop direct and indirect subordinates in accordance with HR policies, benefiting both the company and the employees
     

Your Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or 10+ years of experience in IT delivery management across regional geographies

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT delivery management across regional geographies

  • At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing operations methods, process improvement, and change management

  • 5+ years of experience managing complex global projects, including IT system integration
