Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to gain vocational experience through a temporary work placement. Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting ABB’s operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities. The work model for the role is: onsite This role is contributing to the Procurement team in Schaffhausen, Switzerland. Main stakeholders are Electrification division.In this role you will be supporting our Procurement team in Schaffhausen, by optimizing procurement processes, taking actively part in sourcing and benchmarking projects and analyzing market trends to foster a resilient supply chain. Duration: 6-12 monthsYou will be mainly accountable for: • Manage sub projects in sourcing and benchmarking activities• Assist and support in process optimization• Report on price development and market intelligence• Master Data correction actions & document management• External supplier correspondence• KPI tracking and reporting• Organize and prepare supplier visits and audits

Qualifications for the role

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor or Master degree in economics, engineering, information systems or similar with first supply chain experience
  • You are at ease communicating in German and English
  • Confidential handling of MS Excel
  • Strong communication skills; proactive, independent, and well-organized working behavior
  • Curiosity and initiative
  • SAP knowledge is a plus
  • You hold a current valid VISA/work permit for Switzerland or a confirmation for a mandatory internship from your university
