Senior Supply Chain Specialist 100%

Job Description

In this position the Senior Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for:

  • Execute day to day purchasing activities for STAAR Switzerland Nidau and Brügg facilities
  • Develop and maintain a strong supplier network in Switzerland and abroad in close collaboration with the Lead Procurement and Supplier Management
  • Work closely with Operation team on the sourcing of new technology & material, and any associate supplier selection and qualification.
  • Ensure orders’ tracking and on time supply deliveries, in accordance with the company quality standards and policies
  • Evaluate and assess suppliers, management of supplier documentation in consultation with the US. Headquarters
  • Follow up on new part number activation or change in the eQMS system and ensure accurate updates of information in the ERP system
  • Create, update, and improve operating procedures, and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and quality standards

 

Your profile

  • Professional Swiss federal education with further degree in Purchasing/Procurement
  • First experience in material planning, inventory management or logistics in an industrial environment
  • Extensive knowledge of Excel (VBA, macro)
  • Very good English skills (both spoken and written) as well as German or French skills
  • Flexible, motivated and reliable team player
  • Organized, efficient and accurate way of working
