The Position

Group Communications (GC) is responsible for creating a lasting positive image of Roche and are representing the company's voice on a Group level: We communicate Roche’s strategy and how we deliver on our purpose of “Doing now what patients need next” to Roche colleagues and external audiences. We drive integrated and global campaigns and provide platforms for communications business partners as well as our affiliates to engage with audiences. We contribute to building trust of key stakeholders, to managing Roche’s brand and reputation and to building a favorable environment for our business. The Role:

As a Senior Communicator specializing in Change Communications, you will play a pivotal role in driving effective communication strategies during periods of transformation within our organization. You will work closely with leadership, project managers, and stakeholders to develop and implement communication plans that support organizational change initiatives. Your expertise in crafting compelling narratives, engaging content, and utilizing various communication channels will be essential in ensuring successful change adoption and employee engagement.

Your Opportunities:

  • Collaborate with leadership and project teams to understand the objectives and impact of change initiatives.

  • Develop comprehensive communication plans tailored to specific change projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

  • Create clear, concise, and impactful messaging that communicates the purpose, benefits, and expectations of change to employees at all levels.

  • Utilize a variety of communication channels and platforms to effectively reach and engage target audiences.

  • Provide guidance and support to managers and supervisors to enhance their communication skills and effectively cascade information to their teams.

  • Monitor and measure the effectiveness of communication strategies, gathering feedback and making adjustments as necessary.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in change management and communication.

Who you are:

  • Degree in Communications, Public Relations, or related field (Master's degree preferred).

  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in corporate communications, with a focus on change management and organizational transformation.

  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful change communication strategies in a corporate environment.

  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear and compelling messaging.

  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

  • Experience with a variety of communication tools and platforms, including digital and social media.

  • Certification in Change Management (e.g., Prosci) is a plus.

  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Location:

Primary location is Basel. Additional locations can be considered at hiring manager's discretion.
