Global Legal Counsel - Procurement - Your future position?

 

Rules have always existed. They just grew more complex as the world evolved, transforming from the oral tradition of primitive societies into the labyrinth sets of legislation we know today. Even walking down the street may have legal implications. All are concerned, human beings and corporations alike. Our mission is not only to guide Givaudan within this legal maze to ensure compliance with the law, a fundamental principle of Givaudan which contributed to build and preserve its good name and reputation.

It is also to help develop our activities in all areas, solve disputes, find solutions which are both economically and legally sound, help you achieve these solutions through negotiation with third parties, in a word, facilitate business and preserve Givaudan’s best interests. We are composed of qualified professionals spread across the world to meet your challenges in any place and any time.

 

You will lead, direct and control legal activities of our procurement business globally to protect its reputation and business interests and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

 

You will be based in Vernier and report to the Group Counsel.

 

You will:

• Provide legal advice and assist the Global Procurement Organization in legal matters globally


• Draft and negotiate contracts


• Handle claims and litigation


• Instruct and manage external counsels


• Manage legal department IT projects and scout for new AI technologies


• Work with Global Procurement Leaders


• Handle legal aspects of innovation and sustainability projects

 

You?

• Bar admission in Switzerland


• 3+ years' experience in a law firm or in the legal department of a multinational company


• Fluent English; French a plus


• Excellent stakeholder management skills


• Experience with procurement matters is a plus
