We are currently hiring a Market Access and Value Demonstration Specialist (all genders) for our Swiss local office in Zurich Opfikon.

ROLE OBJECTIVE

  • Reporting to the Lead of Market Access Switzerland you will be leading and implementing market access strategies for product(s) ensuring optimal access, pricing, and reimbursement outcomes
  • You will be responsible for reimbursement submission and negotiation with authorities engaging in strong long-term relationships with payers
  • You will be supporting business by providing accurate short-, mid- and long-term pricing assumptions.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Market Access Strategy

  • Develops and implements the Swiss market access strategy for product(s) in collaboration with the cross-functional team and in alignment with the corporate strategy
  • Contributes to the development of the Swiss business strategy through working with the Lead of Market Access and Brand Teams
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of drug portfolio and pipeline in defined areas to initiate and support market access strategies to obtain formulary access for Takeda products
  • Understands government priorities which have the potential to impact market access and gathers customer insights to adapt strategies to their needs

Pricing & Reimbursement

  • Leads the reimbursement process for products to maximize patient access
  • Participates in meetings and negotiations with national health care (HC) authorities and health insurers for obtaining and maintaining access
  • Develops reimbursement submissions with support from the cross-functional team in a timely manner
  • Monitors and anticipates HC trends and changes, analysing the market, competitors, messages (that differentiate our product from competitors), prices and access
  • Develops, in collaboration with project teams, pricing, reimbursements, and business cases for forecasting and strategic decision-making
  • Art. 71 KVV Management and Negotiations with health insurances

Value Demonstration

  • Provides consultation to regulatory colleagues to secure local marketing authorization
  • Provides expertise with respect to the local payer needs
  • Monitors real-world and economic evidence generated for assigned products and communicates data to internal and external stakeholders
  • Proposes initiation of projects or database use to collect local evidence to optimize and maintain patient access, in collaboration with Medical and the cross-functional teams
  • Monitors regulatory and jurisdiction environment for relevant developments
  • Supports the cross-functional brand strategy

Effective team and cross-functional working internally and externally

  • Develops effective and constructive working relationships throughout the Market Access Team and the Swiss affiliate in general and with the cross-functional team.
  • Creates, builds, and maintains a solid network and value-based partnerships within the HC/market access landscape
  • Organizes and attends meetings with key stakeholders achieving best-in-class customer focus

Other

  • Identifies opportunities and leads projects when required to drive innovation
  • Promotes the affairs of the company with the highest standards of integrity, probity, and corporate governance, demonstrating commitment to the values of Takeda-ism.

Experience and Education

  • University degree in Medicine, Life Sciences, (Health) Economics, Law or similar
  • Experience in pharmaceutical industry (> 2 years)
  • Understanding of the Swiss HC system and its regulations
  • Experience with market access projects and submission of reimbursement dossiers is a plus
  • German is mother tongue or equal proficiency and fluent written and spoken English is mandatory, additional skills in French or Italian is advantageous
  • Applicants must hold a Swiss work permit
