WinGD is looking for a

Continuous Improvement Manager

General responsibilities:

  • Business process and methods development and improvement, rollout and integration
  • Coordinate cross-divisional (Sales, Operations, R&D, Finance) process improvement initiatives and activities inside R&D
  • Training, mentoring, and guiding team members in new processes
  • Identify and deliver service improvement activities across the business through employing process improvement methodologies and the application of innovative thinking
  • Lead and facilitate LEAN/process improvement based workshops to drive ideas and solutions
  • Ownership of change initiatives from evolution/efficiency identification through to project delivery via internal governance and controls
  • Ensure the business impact and project objectives/dependencies are identified, reported on and managed at all times
  • Project and process KPI definition & governance
  • Leading Project Control Team as Line Manager
  • Take ownership of specific projects in R&D; plan milestones, timelines, budgets, resources and identify potential risks to deliver engineering aspects within agreed completion dates
  • Improve visibility of project status, task completion and periodically advise wider team on project status, timing, resources, issues, and ability to deliver on-time with excellence
  • Ensure adherence and compliance to general industry engineering standards and best practices; maintain structured and versioned data outputs
  • Work as an active member of project teams, ensure efficient delivery of relevant information to stakeholders

Requirements:

  • University degree
  • PMP (PMI Project Management Professional) certificate or equivalent is a plus
  • 5-8 years of fundamental experience in process management
  • Good understanding of the engineering process for marine engine development
  • Knowledge of the shipping industry and marine applications and regulations
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings
  • Passion for development and a pragmatic attitude
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic working environment and work within diverse teams
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (English)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with others
  • High level of analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to self-manage; taking ownership of initiatives: budgeting, work planning, resource management and reporting
  • A start-up personality; entrepreneurial, ambitious, independent, systematic attention to detail, structured thinker, team player, goal-oriented, flexible and able to deal well with setbacks
