Assistant Room Service Manager
Main Responsibilities:
To supervise and participate in running of an efficient and profitable operation in the areas for which you are responsible. Liaise with your manager to actively encourage a professional and dedicated team.
To supervise colleagues to consistently achieve the service and product delivery standards with a high degree of client care and service at all times
To co-ordinate the service of food and beverage efficiently and accurately.
To report and follow up all maintenance defaults affecting efficient and professional delivery of service.
To involve with service related to VIP guests
To respond proactively to guest queries, ensuring that appropriate action is taken in the absence of the manager/assistant, followed by effective communication
To perform and check all duties related to in-room-dining check list
Perform any other reasonable duties as required by the Room Service Manager
To carry out and supervise daily, weekly and monthly inventory
To maintain and order all the store requisition
To prepare and control tables before being delivered to the rooms
To conduct daily communication meeting with staff prior to shift
Excellent knowledge of food and beverage to be able to service and up-sell the product
Coordinate all aspects of service to include but not limited to:
Food and beverage requirements
Special attention guests
Table setup
Special requests
Complimentary dessert/ drinks etc.
Billing instructions
Authorized signatures
Job Requirements:
High School qualification or equivalent
Degree or Higher National Diploma in Hospitality/Hotel/Business Management is preferred
A minimum of 2/3 years of experience as Assistant IRD Manager
French & English mandatory
Standards driven and motivational leader
The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for service, food, lots of flair and creativity
You will have exceptional inter-personal, management and organizational skills.
Must be of smart appearance with excellent personal hygiene standards
Please note this is a full time permanent position
