Global Commodity Manager / Strategic buyer plastics (all genders)

Our Automotive Technology business is passionate about the automotive industry and produces as well as markets high-tech automotive components worldwide. With over 20,000 employees, we are responsible for the success of this business. Our product and service range includes chassis technologies such as steering and damper systems and the assembly of axle systems as well as powertrain components for conventional and alternative engines. We also develop assembly systems for body-in-white construction and produce lightweight car body components in series.

• You have successfully completed a technical or business degree or have a comparable educational background with a sound technical background
• Furthermore, you have a broad experience in the purchasing area with reference to automotive / large-scale production and are well networked
• You are proficient in the common MS-Office programs as well as SAP
• In addition, you have already gained experience in the area of project management
• Sound negotiation skills coupled with contractual knowledge are a matter of course for you
• You are business fluent in German and English. The willingness to travel internationally rounds off your profile

• In this position you are responsible for the development, agreement and implementation of a sustainable commodity group strategy as well as the systematic analysis of the procurement markets through market observation, early identification of trends and fields of action
• In addition, you will be responsible for setting up a supplier pool in accordance with the corporate strategy and will be an active member for the qualification and development of suppliers in cooperation with the necessary departments
• You are also responsible for carrying out benchmark studies for series parts, new technologies and new markets
• You develop and implement savings potentials and conduct price negotiations up to the conclusion of supplier contracts
• You will also monitor the material price situation and its market development
• In addition, you will work closely with OU Purchasing and Regional Purchasing and provide support for Group activities (BA Automotive)
