Infrastructure Solutions is a division within BlackRock’s infrastructure investment group. Since its establishment, BlackRock’s infrastructure investment group has become one of the leading platforms in the industry. BlackRock’s infrastructure investment group encompasses various strategies, including direct private infrastructure equity, debt, and multi-manager investing, executed through commingled funds and separately managed accounts.

Infrastructure Solutions is the firm’s infrastructure private equity multi-manager solutions group with teams in Zurich, Budapest, New York City, London and Hong Kong. BlackRock Infrastructure Solutions builds and implements outcome-oriented infrastructure private equity portfolios for institutional investors globally through investments into primaries, secondaries, and direct co-investments. The team employs a diversified and thematic approach, investing across sectors – including transportation & logistics, energy, power & utilities, telecommunications, social, and environmental – as well as across geographies. With $14bn AuMs and a track record of over 200 investments executed since 2008, the Team has one of the most experienced infrastructure multi-manager teams in the industry.

Job Purpose / Background:

Infrastructure Solutions is seeking an entrepreneurial individual interested in working in a fast-paced environment as a member of a rapidly growing team. As part of the Investors & Solutions Team, the candidate will support capital formation and investor servicing as well as product development, marketing, research,  and strategic projects, with a primary focus on the DACH region. The candidate assumes a multi-faceted role which requires a passion for infrastructure investments and client servicing, but as well an entrepreneurial spirit, strong analytical and conceptual skills. While focusing on Europe, the candidate will work with team members across geographies, develop relationships with external stakeholders, partner with internal functional partners, and manage relationships with clients.

The candidate should be an experienced infrastructure and/or private equity multi-manager professional with relevant experience in an Investor Relations or Product Strategy role at an investment manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development & Fundraising: Actively contribute to the acquisition process of investors and support fundraising efforts of global team with a focus on EMEA (in particular DACH region) across client channels in close partnership with sales and relationship management teams for commingled funds and customized separately managed accounts.

  • Research & Marketing: Play a key role in the ongoing development and maintenance of product marketing collateral and client content, including presentation materials, due diligence materials, RfPs, client communications, narrative creation, market trends, and competitor research. Responsible for content and narrative creation, market trends and competitors research, client materials preparations and due diligence support

  • Solutions & Products Development: Support creation of customized separate account solutions including investment strategy, governance / engagement model, legal structuring and documentation, pricing negotiations, etc.

  • Client Engagement & Service: Prepare and present client investment pipeline and portfolio reviews including quantitative and qualitative portfolio analyses in partnership with portfolio managers and investor relations team. Develop varied analysis (industry / client related) and answer ongoing queries from clients and distribution colleagues in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

  • 5+  year of successful relevant experience in private markets, preferably infrastructure, including Product Strategy, Investment Consulting or Investor Relations

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, finance and/or Economics preferred

  • Native German speaker, business-level proficiency in English (written and oral)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills

  • Superior ability to synthesize and present complex information and convey it in a clear, concise, and engaging manner (both written and oral)

  • Ability to manage workload effectively and deliver quality work on schedule in a fast-paced international environment with attention to detail

  • Collaborative working style and strong interpersonal skills with ability to work in a cross-border team

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
