The varied key responsibilities and core functions in this role involve among others the accurate and timely execution of transactions which are finalized by the investment team. Upon finalization of deals, the Transaction Officer is responsible to carry out thorough reviews of various documentations within the prescribed timelines in close co-ordination with the various departments, including but not limited to the legal team, investment teams, portfolio management team and the investee company to guarantee the correct recording and tracking of the exposure of our funds through these confirmed investments. It further involves instructing and communicating to the custody banks and other stakeholders timely and accurately for a smooth completion of transactions.

Your Main Tasks
  • Drafting contractual documents, such as promissory notes, loan agreements and waivers with the assistance of the Legal department.
  • Working closely with Borrowers and Investment Officers for obtaining, validating, executing, and tracking various constitutional, legal, financial and regulatory documents.
  • Working closely with service providers to ensure policies and internal control standards are being followed.
  • Validate and analyse documents based on internal policy and AML guidelines; undertake necessary steps to remedy any discrepancy or non-compliant documents.
  • Tracking fund cash flow activity (from capital calls and distributions notices to disbursements and principal repayments).
  • Tracking Total and remaining commitment information.
  • Developing and monitoring daily and monthly reconciliations between internal records, counterparties, custodian, and the fund administrator.
  • Analysing and understanding all security and cash position differences related to reconciliation.
  • Processing invoices and disbursement of loans requests.
  • Establishing, documenting, updating, and improving standard operating processes across internal teams and external counterparties for management of tasks implemented for specific fund related activities.
  • Continuous investment administration like cash flow notification and tracking, legal documents tracking, monitoring and mark-to-market evaluation of commodity indexed contracts, setting-up and monitoring of collaterals as in Collateral Management Agreements and in fixed assets financing.
  • FX Trade Execution and post processing, covering all asset classes including derivatives.
  • Act as a point of contact for borrowers, custodians and business partners for transactional queries and requests.
  • Managing the original loan documentation which comes in from the borrowers and sharing such documents with the custodians.
Your Experience and Skills
  • Apprenticeship in the financial industry or Bachelor in Economics, Business Administration, Accounting or a related field.
  • 2 to 5 years of work experience in Back or Middle Office or in a relevant financial environment.
  • Experience with investment management software platforms for investments record keeping; fund administration and reporting; supporting the automation of manual processes.
  • Sound interest in legal and operational matters, relevant to investment funds.
  • Verbal and written business proficiency in English, fluent in Spanish; any other language would be considered as an asset.
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite, especially Excel.
  • Analytical skills, ability to stick to tight timelines and strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Efficient, accurate and independent working style with a detail-oriented approach; able to work in close cooperation with team members across different geographies, interested in working in a culturally diverse environment.
  • Interest in and passion for impact investing.
