HR Business Advisor

HR Business Advisory Team works across all lines of business to deliver strategic advisory and consultative engagements with Business Leaders. This position is a perfect choice for you if have previous professional experience in HR and desire to expand your career in Human Resources.

As an HR Business Advisor in the HR Business Advisory Team, you will be responsible for work with managers at varying levels of the organization to provide HR advisory for Employees based in Switzerland (Zurich and Geneva), liaise with colleagues in Geneva to ensure the employee experience is delivered consistently across locations and you will  assist the HR Country Head with activities at a country level (governance, projects, Risk & Controls)

Job responsibilities


  • Implement people agenda initiatives and efforts for the assigned groups and the location;

  • Provide day-to-day advice on human capital matters and leverage colleague’s expertise to handle complex cases and processes related to employee lifecycle, including Employee Relations matters;

  • Lead corporate HR processes including year-end compensation, performance management cycle, Employee Opinion Survey etc.;

  • Support HR colleagues based in Geneva in delivering a best in class employee experience to employees across the country;

  • Partner with HR country head with governance aspects (outsourcing, Risk& controls), with the review and analysis of key metrics and HR data for the country, and  with communications amongst other country wide initiatives;

  • Analyse processes, data and trends to make recommendations to management team for continuous improvement while maintaining efficient controls, be a champion of HR experience and process change

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills


  • 3+ years of overall Human Resource experience;

  • Very good understanding of Swiss labour law;

  • Knowledge of full range of people practices in a business setting: goal setting, performance assessment and improvement, compensation practices, reductions in force, manager development;

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and  German;

  • Bachelor’s Degree 

  • Ability to utilize critical thinking and analytical skills regularly to identify issues and risks, develop solutions and/or recommendations to address root cause;

  • Project management abilities including execution skills and end to end process improvement;

  • Strong analytical skills to leverage data to create HR strategies that support and drive business results;

  • Ability to navigate a global matrix organization and partner on issues across multiple stakeholders within HR and the business;

  • Technically proficient in MS Office Suite – including Excel and PowerPoint.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills


  • Previous HR Business Advisor experience with exposure to Employee Relations preferred;

  • Advanced degree desired.
