As a Process Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the production processes that drive our ground breaking optical products forward. You'll work in our state-of-the-art facilities surrounded by a team of brilliant minds dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what's possible.

Tasks:

  • Process and process flow design optimized for high yield and throughput
  • Develop fixtures, tooling, and equipment for prototypes and high-volume manufacturing of new products in collaboration with Mechanical Engineering
  • Design and carry out feasibility studies of prototypes targeted for mass production in close collaboration with Product Engineering and Operations
  • Responsible for process validation, and release of the developed processes including capability studies, statistical process control, root cause analysis, and troubleshooting of errors
  • Select, install, modify, and maintain process equipment including IQ, OQ, PQ
  • Process documentation, integration of process into production management environment, and training of co-workers on the new processes
  • Travel up to 10% to transfer the developed processes to multiple production sites
  • Collaborate and contribute in multidisciplinary project teams

 

Requirements: 

  • MSc degree in microtechnology, chemistry, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering or equivalent (Uni or FH)
  • Experience in process development, preferably in high volume manufacturing environment
  • Lean Six Sigma experience is an advantage
  • Knowledge in micro-assembly and semiconductor processing (MEMS), surface activation technologies
  • Knowledge in MEMS and semiconductor processing, surface activation technologies
  • Knowledgeable of optical metrology methods (Interferometer, Spectrometer, etc.)
  • Familiarity with FMEA, Gage R&R, DOE, SPC and other statistical modelling
  • Proficient in reading/interpreting engineering drawings and geometric dimensioning
  • Open-minded for challenging ideas in dynamic environments with changing priorities
  • Quick thinker, creative, persistent, and empathic
  • Proficiency in English, and German is an advantage
