Digital Communications Manager

Role:

We are looking for a Digital Communications Manager to create engaging and relevant digital content for the organization. Responsibilities will include managing the FDI’s main website and microsites as well as social media platforms, with a specific focus on optimizing user experience. The candidate will also lead SEO/SEM web optimization and email marketing initiatives and oversee the creation and implementation of the digital strategy. You should be passionate about staying abreast of technological advances in the field and providing solutions on how the organization’s vast array of resources can be digitalized.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing digital media strategies.
  • Managing FDI’s website, microsites, and social media platforms.
  • Managing the redesign of FDI’s website and leading the content strategy.
  • Using the CMS to determine the structure and design of web pages and developing features to enhance user experience.
  • Producing creative visual assets (photographs, videos, infographics, GIFs, stop-motion) for website, email marketing, and social media usage.
  • Implementing search engine optimization strategies.
  • Tracking analytics and providing recommendations on how to increase traffic and audience engagement.
  • Managing the mailing of the organization’s newsletters and other communications.
  • Maintaining all security licenses and domains.
  • Training staff to support the update of website content and database, as necessary.
  • Advising on the development of online or app-based tools and programs and liaising with external service providers and sourcing, when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Digital Communications, Marketing or relevant field.
  • At least 5-years’ experience of working in a similar role.
  • Proven track record in designing and managing websites.
  • In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, best practices, and analytics tools.
  • Highly creative with excellent analytical abilities.
  • Up to date on the latest trends and technologies in digital marketing.
  • Working knowledge of Desktop publishing tools such as adobe illustrator, adobe photoshop, adobe InDesign; graphic design and Drupal experience an asset.
  • Demonstrable skills in growing and engaging networks through social media.
  • Experience with database systems.
  • Excellent team worker with a positive, solution-focused approach to work.
  • Excellent time management skills and an ability to meet conflicting deadlines under pressure.
  • Good oral and written English communications skills.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Valid permit to work in Switzerland.
