The Supply Chain Expediter is responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of materials, parts, and services necessary for production and operational needs. This role involves tracking orders, coordinating with Buyers, Vendors, Manufacturing Engineers resolving any issues that may delay the supply chain process.

Your Mission

  • Monitor purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Track the status of orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Communicate with suppliers regarding order confirmations, order status, delivery schedules, and any potential delays.
  • Communicate internally issues related to delayed deliveries, damaged goods, or discrepancies in orders / deliveries.
  • Collaborate with inventory management to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Expedite critical materials to prevent production delays and shortages.
  • Maintain accurate records of order status, delivery dates, and communications with suppliers.
  • Prepare regular reports on order status, delivery performance and any issues encountered.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain processes.
  • Suggest and implement best practices for expediting and order management.
  • Work closely with procurement, logistic, production, manufacturing engineering and quality control teams to ensure smooth and efficient supply chain operations.
  • Provide updates and communicate effectively with all stakeholders involved.

Your Story

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field preferred.

Skills:

  • A background in logistics supply chain, with over 3 years of hands-on experience.
  • Technical expertise paired with a keen sense of cost efficiency and quality assurance.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, especially SAP.
  • Experience in an international setting (English/German proficiency)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Lean and Six Sigma training (a plus).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
