Technology Transactions Lawyer

We are seeking talented and experienced Technology Transactions Lawyers to work with many of our F100 to F500 clients across multiple industries. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technology law, with a focus on negotiating and drafting agreements related to licensing, software development, and other technology-related transactions.

Responsibilities:

• 
  

  Negotiate and draft a wide range of technology-related agreements, including software licenses, SaaS agreements, technology development agreements, and intellectual property licensing agreements.

  
  


• 
  

  Provide strategic legal counsel to clients on matters related to technology transactions, including data privacy, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance.

  
  


• 
  

  Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure that technology transactions align with business objectives and mitigate legal risks.

  
  


• The ability to provide entrepreneurial, pragmatic, business-oriented advice in a large, fast-paced environment with a high level of professionalism and outstanding business judgement. 

Qualifications: 

• 
  

  Active membership in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.

  
  


• 
  

  Minimum of 4+ years of experience practicing law, with a focus on technology transactions, preferably in a law firm or corporate legal department setting.

  
  


• 
  

  Strong knowledge of Canadian and international laws and regulations related to technology, intellectual property, data privacy, and cybersecurity.

  
  

Preferred Qualifications (not required but considered advantageous):

• 
  

  Familiarity with emerging technologies such as blockchain, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things (IoT).

  
  


• 
  

  Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively advise clients and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
