Responsibilities

As a business analyst working for the trading room, you will work in a rich, demanding and fast-paced environment. The client context and the close proximity to the market operators make for a very dynamic and motivating day-to-day environment. You will also have the chance to work on applications using the latest technologies.

Tasks and responsibilities

• Listen to, understand and challenge requests from the various business contacts in the trading room in Luxembourg as well as through the various desks located in the Société Générale - private banking entities

• Analyse and validate the functional specifications provided by the business needs

• Establish a relationship of trust between the various business actors and the IT department

• Draft the functional specifications for the development team and the tests to be applied

• Functionally test any new development, as well as perform regression testing prior to a production release

Due to the VIE eligibility criteria, a questionnaire will be provided. Please make sure to answer all the questions for an efficient analysis of your application.

Profile required

PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

Studies & experience:

• Graduate with a Master’s degree from a Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in Finance and IT

• A previous experience in Business analysis would be appreciated

Language skills:

•        Fluent in English

Technical, operational & soft skills:

• Good communication and presentation skills

• Proficient/Good command of MS Office

• Strong listening and analytical skills

• Proactivity, spearheading of proposals

The VIE assignment in a nutshell

This VIE in Luxemburg is to begin as soon as possible, but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.

In case a visa is necessary, please make sure your passport is valid up to 6 months after the end of the VIE contract to not delay your departure.

The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information (including your financial indemnities), please see Mon VIE-VIA Business France.
