The scope of the role is to support the Credit business of Bank Pictet & Cie SA from an operational perspective. The role reports internally to the Credit Transaction Support Team Lead in Geneva.


Your role


 


Main responsibilities:



  • Prepare credit files for standard credit requests to enable credit officers to make an educated decision to approve/reject the relevant request. Efficiently answer queries from credit officers in charge of approving the files. Credit analysis should focus on, but not be limited to:

    • Collateral analysis, including analysis of concentration positions

    • Detailed analysis of facility required, including amount, duration, credit purpose, etc.

    • Review of borrower details to ensure ability to borrow and repay facility

    • Review of required credit documentation



  • Monitor the progress of credit requests through to facility booking and keep the Front Office informed of progress.

  • Ensure the proper recording of credit decisions/LTV exceptions in the tracking record and in client accounts and follow up on credit approval conditions (missing credit documentation, additional information, etc.)

  • Ensure the proper recording of credit facilities and collateral set up (pledges) in Avaloq.

  • Booking of credit transactions in Avaloq (FTLs, guarantees) when they are not fed through from the workflow; liaise with all relevant parties as necessary.

  • Participate in any project/initiative impacting the department as required.


Your profile


 


Required skills and competences:



  • Self-starter, autonomous, flexible and adaptable.

  • Quick learner, disciplined, good sense of priorities.

  • Good teamwork skills, good written and verbal communication skills.

  • Extensive knowledge of credit products (loans, guarantees) and related risks, including derivative risk.

  • Should have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.

  • Fluent in English ; another language would be a plus.
