Job Objective:
The primary objectives of the Accounting Manager include preparing monthly client financial statements, coordinating with auditors & internal client facing staff, identifying, and implementing process improvements, and contributing to a positive team culture at MCI USA.
Main Responsibilities
- Preparation of monthly client financial statements for several Full-Service Association client partners to meet deadlines and ensure compliance with company and client policies as well as US GAAP.
- Maintain financial schedules, generate, and process any required journal entries, monthly.
- Lead coordination effort between client staff and auditors for annual audit/review and any needed regulatory filings.
- Perform and assist in bank reconciliation process for clients as assigned.
- Identify and implement process improvements to assigned clients and Client Services finance team.
- Assisting support staff in professional development.
- Assist in client transitions as needed (onboarding and offboarding.)
- Actively participate in building positive team culture at MCI USA, and in building strong client relationships.
- Ad hoc reporting and other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Three to seven years of related accounting and financial experience, 1 year of progressive supervisory experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required, MBA/CPA/CFA preferred
Professional and Leadership Competencies
- Highly effective written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to lead and manage multiple, simultaneous client deliverables and work successfully within a geographically dispersed, matrixed environment.
Technical Skills
- Microsoft Office suite (advanced Excel proficiency required.)
- QuickBooks (Online & Enterprise), and/or Great Plains system experience preferred.
