Job Description

As a member of the Sustaining Team, you are responsible for the design, maintenance and improvement of existing products:

  • Analyze, design, test, and implement design changes on instruments and consumables
  • Conduct technical investigations in order to increase the company's know-how and support product continuous improvements
  • Collect, analyze, and present data in a comprehensive and understandable manner
  • Create and update design control documentation in collaboration with the Quality Department
  • Interact with internal and external manufacturing partners on a technical level and ensure the design changes are correctly implemented
  • Develop and optimize test procedures and test setups in close collaboration with Quality and Manufacturing departments
  • Participate in troubleshooting and repair of internal prototypes on a need basis

Qualifications

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in mechanical engineering or a closely related field, experience in electrical engineering is a plus
  • At least 2 years of industry experience in the development of mechanical systems
  • Extensive experience in computer assisted mechanical design
  • Experience in mechanical design of complex systems involving electronics, fluidics, and pneumatics is a plus
  • Proficiency in oral and written English (C1) is a must, French is a plus
  • Quality-oriented mindset, attention to detail and good organizational skills
  • Critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Sense of responsibility and urgency, ready to comply with priorities
  • Dynamic, proactive and enthusiast individual, able to multi-task and adapt in a fast-paced constantly changing environment, ready to accept new challenges
  • Team player, collaboration with colleagues from different teams, sharing information with peers and managers
  • Comfortable working independently
