1. Effective performance of Troubleshooting, repairs, Field Modifications, and testing activities
- Carry out Troubleshooting during PI period as well as Pre-warranty & Commissioning (and Validation & Certification if applicable), including investigation and repair
- Support engineer with locomotives dynamic testing activities as per specification
- Carry out Fleet check activities through physical inspection, TCMS events download
- Support operation through helpdesk
- Adhere to all Fleet Maintenance and Product Introduction processes, procedures, and relevant SOPs during the performance of work activity and presence on work sites.
- Execute test & troubleshooting procedures to evaluate system performance and provide relevant data to the engineer to perform failure analysis
- Physically perform field Modifications e.g., implement change request
- Support specific technical investigations or tests by Engineering or internal/external Suppliers to improve reliability, availability, and general performance of the 23E locomotive fleet.
- Identify and recommends preventative and corrective actions
- Instructs and directs contractors in facilitating repairs if needed
- Advises PI management regarding customer satisfaction, product performance, and suggestions for product enhancements
- Ensure good information flow about interventions & operations within Troubleshooting to support handover activities to colleagues, where required
- Report any health, safety, or quality matters to the relevant person immediately.
- Perform fleet check to ensure quality when required
- Compliance and adherence to Environment, Health, Safety and Quality rules, procedures and policies at all times.

- Ensure that all quality standards are always met
- Follow depot/site procedures and instructions, both from the Company and from the customer
- Ensure that quality standards of components are met
- Implement 8D Practices and PPS Practices as and when required
- Ensure Zero outstanding NCR’s
- Locomotive Configuration – Ensure serialized numbers are logged in MAXIMO
- I-Forms – Attend to I-Forms; Raise product related Issues; Report Incidents and Complete Actions
- Comply with all safety related training and ensure up to date certifications as required i.e., working at heights
- Report all safety concerns as per Company procedure
- Collaborate with EHS and Quality teams to ensure we put safety first and maintain first class quality
- Accurate and up to date Reporting and Data management

- Initiate work through Maximo, update, and close work orders on Maximo
- Ensure that test documentation is completed and placed in data file
- Ensure that accurate reporting of work performed are done on MAXIMO.
- Ensure accurate and comprehensive reporting after testing activities
- Ensure that routine testing and type testing documents are completed
- Ensure comprehensive and accurate failure reporting are done
- Ensure proper record keeping
- Support the Service/Commissioning Engineer with reporting where required

Performance measurements:

- Diploma in Engineering (Electrical/Electronics/Electromechanical) or Trade Test Electrical Fitter
- Fluent English
- 2-3 years relevant working experience post qualification.
- Sound Technical troubleshooting/investigation/testing experience (mechanical or electrical / electronic systems)
- EHS knowledge and exposure within the working environment
- experience in Industrial activities related to Electrical, Control, onboard communications & network systems within process industry, railways, or factory automation
- Ability to read drawings and Schematics
- Proven track record of using Test, Faultfinding and repair tools and equipment.
- Proven track record of working with MS Office suites including
- Multidisciplinary Concepts in Railway Engineering
- Rolling Stock experience will be an advantage
- Advanced knowledge in IT Tool and smart devices
- System Diagnostics experience will be an advance.
- Ability to have a good communication with other colleagues and other functions (engineering, manufacturing, industrial, quality
- Ability for problem-solving and efficient decision-making in environment
- Ability to work across sites/functions in a multi-cultural environment
- Literate with MS Office suite
- Understanding of computer System Diagnostic skills
- Reading of drawings and schematics
- Sound Mechanical and Electrical Fault-finding skills
- Solid Electrical / Mechanical background and understanding of engineering principles
- Accurate and analytical fault reporting and report writing
- Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Quality principles
- Knowledge of maintenance engineering principles
- Maximo knowledge will be an advantage
- Willing to travel between sites if required
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Willing to work shifts and standby as and when required
- Good team player and be able to work in a team
- Valid Driver’s License
- Must be capable of working independently
